Current Responsibilities
Deborah Sims Wren serves as Regional Vice President for Gateway Management Company, based in Birmingham, Alabama where she is responsible for all facets of management and operations of 46 communities, with new development properties currently in the pipeline including property acquisitions and new construction. Deborah leads a team of Regional Property Managers who oversee properties in Kansas, Kentucky, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama.
Relevant Experience
With more than 28 years of experience in the property management industry. Deborah has worked for several industry-recognized companies where she gained extensive knowledge and experience in training, marketing, and management of all types of properties. Her experience includes Conventional, Tax Credit, Rural Development, HOME, Section 8 and HUD. Deborah brings Gateway Management the professional skills and a well-diversified background that will assure success to the owner portfolio and third-party fee management.
Education/Affiliations
Deborah is a member of multiple organizations including the National Apartment Association and Southeastern Affordable Housing Management Association. She holds the Institutes of Real Estate Management designations of Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), certification from the National College of Appraisal and Property Management, the C3P Tax Credit certification, and a South Carolina Property Manager license. Deborah regularly attends national and industry education conferences to keep up with emerging trends and industry best practices.
