Veronica Ramsey serves as the Director of Compliance for Gateway Management Company. She is responsible for all facets of compliance, Company Policies and Procedures, Federal, State, Local guidelines, Owner, and Investor requirements as well as reporting. She has oversight for 350+ properties with Low Income Housing Tax Credit, Bond, HOME, Trust Fund, Rural Development, and HUD programs. These properties consist of new construction communities leasing up, acquisition and rehab, as well as existing sites. She leads team of Compliance Specialist that have a wide variety of compliance experience.
Veronica has been working in the housing industry for more than 20 years. Prior to joining Gateway Management, Veronica’s tenure includes serving as Director of Housing, Regional Manager, and Director of Compliance for three different management companies with focus on affordable housing as well as Compliance Manager for a State Housing Finance Agency. Her housing experiences includes Tax Credit, HOME, Bond, Rural Development, Conventional, HOPWA, ESG, HUD financed and insured properties. Veronica also is an experienced trainer and educator, serving on multiple SAHMA committees. Veronica’s experience has enabled her to develop solid relationships with owners, developers, industry leaders and multiple state agencies.
Veronica is a member of the National Affordable Housing Management Association, Southeastern Affordable Housing Management Association, Institute of Real Estate Management, and National Association of Home Builders. Veronica has earned designation of a Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), HOME Compliance Specialist (HCS), Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO), Housing Qualified Standard inspector (HQS), and Fair Housing Coordinator (FHC). She was also recognized for a NAHMA Community of Quality for the work she did on a HOPE IV project. She is a CPM Candidate with the Institute of Real Estate Management. Veronica earned a finance degree through the American Institute of Banking.
